Showmen's Trade Review, June 8, 1940:

"When the recent world premiere of Hal Roach's United Artists release, 'One Million B. C.,' took place at Loew's Theatre, Louisville, Ky., one of the highlights of the campaign was this ballyhoo truck which traversed the entire city. The specially constructed pre-historic animal attracted plenty of attention, as did also the young man and woman attired in costumes similar to those worn by characters in the picture."

Since 1996, “legendary theatre historian”, Cezar Del Valle has been conducting a popular series of theatre talks and walks. Currently accepting bookings for historical societies, libraries, senior centers, etc.

He has also joined with Local Expeditions to present a series of walking tours.

Del Valle is the author of the Brooklyn Theatre Index, a three-volume history of borough theatres. The first two chosen 2010 OUTSTANDING BOOK OF THE YEAR by the Theatre Historical Society. Final volume published in September 2014.

Currently editing and updating the third edition of the Brooklyn Theatre Index, Volume I.

Loew's Coney Island Promotes San Francisco, 1936

Motion Picture Herald, September 5, 1936:

"Banner that covered two floors and both sides of building on 'San Franciso' was one of the sock displays for the date at Loew's Coney Island, New York. Stood out like a lighthouse, says Lee Churchin."
